Trippin' on Tavik

Tavik Swimwear is fairly new on the scene, but my, what a, "scene," they are making!  They have joined forces with Ani Breslin, owner and designer for Ani Bikinis, to create some unique swimsuits, full of character and pure originality.  The Tavik Swimwear 2013 line has already made some great press including Sports Illustrated and SURFING mags.  I'm sure that there's more to come as the season progresses and more fashion editors hear about Tavik Swimwear.

We have three, or four swimsuits from the 2013 Tavik Swimwear collection.  We still await the arrival of one style, but the rest are in stock and already selling.  So, for your review, may I present Miss Ani's and Tavik's latest:

 The Creedance Bikini (above) is done in a watercolory, tie-dye print.  It sports a cheeky bottom and a unique top that although supportive, does not have any underwires in it.  It's cute, it's different and I think it's totally hip and sexy.  the price is not bad at only $149.

The ZZ-Jimi Bikini (we got a rock and roll theme goin' on here) is done in that great swimsuit fabric that looks a little like crochet, without all of the problems that crochet can have.  The bandeau top has a U-shaped cut-out and the cheeky bikini bottom has long, flowing strings.  Great color, BTW.  It retails for $159.

This is our favorite Tavik bikini, but unfortunately it has not arrived yet...waaahhh!  We don't know why, but we wish the heck it would get here soon.  We've had so many customers inquire about it.  We're on the horn, trying to help this little high-waisted bikini find it's way home to us.  We'll keep you posted.

That Spring Thing...

TAVIK is awesome!!! I'm diggin' this deep red bikini, done in an unusual fabric...not really a crochet, but it kind of looks like it from a distance.  It's really more of a textured type of swimsuit fabric. The good thing about this material is that it's not going to sag and stretch like crochet does.

Here's another new arrival from Boys + Arrows.  Now, this swimsuit came out last season, but in different colors and cut.  You'll also notice that the bottom has a bit more fuller coverage than other B+A bikinis, which a lot of ladies prefer.  It's done in a lemony yellow and has been selling briskly.

Indah Swimwear delivers this little nothing of a bikini.  Honestly, these pictures don't do it justice.  The fabric is very rich and luxe and the details are well executed.  This is a very sleek number!

And Now...For a Little Lenny

For those of you who have been our customers for awhile, you know.  YOU KNOW!  I love Lenny Swimwear!  It is chic, sophisticated, sexy, gorgeous, a great fit, ageless, timeless...I could go on and on.  So, if you are new to the swimwear world and haven't yet heard of Lenny Niemeyer and her beautiful Brazilian swimsuits, well then, listen up.  Lenny Swimwear is awesome!  Many of the Lenny suits just came in.  Here's the latest line-up from the 2013 Lenny Swimwear collection:

The Branly Double String is done in a richly hued, flame-stitch print.  There is some tiny ruching on the bra cups to add just a touch of fullness.  The bikini bottom is cut just right, with minimum to moderate coverage in back.

A vibrant, colorful, twisted bandeau with supportive, built-in cups and optional neck strap.  Bikini bottom is banded at the hips and offers the cutest, bitty bum (minimal) coverage in back.

This has been a perennial, Lenny one-piece style for a couple of years now.  Since it's been so popular, we're bringing it back for an encore.  It's sooooo comfortable and supportive, not to mention, drop dead sexy with it's wrapped and shirred bodice and moderate coverage in back. 

Lenny Swimwear 2013 - Tie Dye Long Halter Bikini

This is my favorite Lenny bikini of the season.  It is due to arrive in about a month.  I'm grovin' on the leather trim at the hips, paired up with the ocean blue tie-dye fabric.

We may get more Lenny swimsuits in later in the season, but that's it for now.  I know...it's not the cheapest brand, but trust me, a Lenny swimsuit will last you several seasons and the quality is top notch, so it's worth every penny.  Also, you may find a coupon code on our promo page to help put a little icing on your cake.

Acacia Swimwear 2013 Does a Pattern Play

Acacia Swimwear goes exotic with their fabrics this season.  Their 2013 collection, "Gitana del Sol,"  dishes up vintage aloha florals, exotic Thai prints, and cool, geo-print designs.  Plus, they've added eye catching, silk crocheted panels to several of their styles.  Put it all together and the Acacia Swimwear line-up is a hit and already selling out early in the year!  Here are the styles that we are offering at Tropi-Ties Swimwear:

Boys + Arrows Swimwear for 2013 has hit our docks.  More sweet swimsuits from Meagan Scott!  She did a re-do of her top seller from last season, the "Helen the Hussy," bikini.  This time she went with a gorgeous, emerald green.

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

Has it been really over a month since I last posted?  OMG!  I am SO SORRY!  My dau is getting married and I've been immersed in the plans and preparations.  Not to mention, building a new house.  Meanwhile, the 2013 swimwear linesheets have been rolling in.  I'm up to my ears in lookbooks.  I love it all!  Now, to alert you with my discerning eye, as to what's on the horizon for the upcoming 2013 swim season. 

1st...Boys+Arrows Swimwear 2013 does not disappoint.  Yes, there will be more of the same, (all of you Helen the Hussy fans will not be denied,) but there are a few, new additions to their killer line-up.  I will post pix just as soon as I get permission from Meg. 

Acacia Swimwear for 2013 is just gorgeous, (Oh...and it's still very skimpy, BTW.  Would we have it any other way?)  The girls that can wear this line have a LOAD of confidence and the body to match.  When Acacia meets THAT kind of beach goddess...watch out!  I really can't post the pix...not allowed...sorry.  Keep an eye out for their new arrivals on our site.

SAHA Swimwear...this line is just so different.  They certainly do not follow the fads, but they put out some really cute and appealing stuff, none the less.  I like that!  They are NOT followers!  SAHA was a new line for us last season and was quite popular, right off, so I expect that they will be even more well received this year.  We're starting earlier with SAHA 2013, so you'll have a better chance to grab and go!

Tori Praver Swimwear 2013 is just so pretty.  Tori really has a great sense about femininity and beach lifestyle.  We'll have some new Topi Praver Swimwear items coming in around the holidays.

Lenny Swimwear 2013 has a few, new surprises for us this season.  It's look is a little younger than in the past, but still five-star quality.  Here's a pic of one of my favorites:

L*Space is on a Tsunami ride...what can I say?  We still love it this year and plan to bring it back for next season.  Designer, Monica Wise, is also debuting a new line: Maio Swim...A little more coverage than L*Space, a little more, "I'm a young mom now," look.  Still, very stylish and sexy with that distinct L*Space feel.

Swimwear Trends 2013

Swimwear trends that we're already seeing for 2013:

A lot of what was just emerging in 2012 will come front and center for 2013.  Here's are some continuations that we are spotting:

High waisted bikinis - The shape is, curvy and close-fitting, accentuating the hips and waistline

Bra tops - Thin, tiny straps going over the shoulders
 
 

Lots of lacing and criss-cross straps - Graphic, visually appealing

Cheeky bottoms - Hey, if you've got the bitty bottom, then go for it.

 
Neon Colors - Boys + Arrows did some this year

Non-Conforming Shapes - Especially tops that are different, overlapping, criss cross, low cut, etc.

Non-Urban looks - Ethereal looks, whisps of mesh fabric, sheers, romantic, swept away look
...Think of desolated beaches far, far away...lotsa grunge
