Swimming Under the Radar...Salt Swimwear

We've seen a lot of swimsuits and bikinis over the years.  Once in awhile, we come across a swimsuit label that is so darn cute, but the rest of the world just hasn't caught up to it yet.  Maybe we're the ones that are missing the mark, or maybe we are just way ahead of our time.  I like to think it's the latter. 

SALT Swimwear is one of those swimwear labels.  Designed with the California girl in mind, SALT Swimwear knows how to make a statement on the beach.   We've been carrying their bikinis and one-piece swimsuits for several years, although, I have to say, they are not our biggest selling brand.  Why is that?   Personally, I think that they are so innovative in their designs, their cuts are perfect and their quality is top notch.  They promote themselves and a classy way.  They get their product out on time.  What is it?  It probably is us.  Maybe we're not doing enough to tell our customers how wonderful this bikini brand is.  So....I'm telling ya!  SALT Swimwear is killer!  It's the cutest thing on the sand, or in the water!  So, let's cut to the chase.  Here is SALT Swimwear 2014:

A New Swimsuit? Why Santy, You Shouldn't Have!

Cheeky Bottom Bikinis...It's All About the Sandy Bum

Hey, if gotta cute li'l backside, then this is the year to show it off.  The cheeky bottom bikini is the hottest look on the beach this season.  It's not Mamma's thong of the 70's, or Aunty's Brazilian of the 90's, but it sure is tiny, none the less.  The various swimwear labels all have their own version; some with a little more coverage than others.  Here's some of our faves:

A Bit About Salt Swimwear

Some swim labels give us the expected, the usual, the barely affordable. But, Salt Swimwear is not that kind of label. It does just the opposite, delivering the unexpected, the unusual and it sure doesn't cost a year's salary to pick up one of their creations.

 

Marisa-Niki Scoop Top Bikini - Salt Swimwear 2013

Designer Layla Pakzad takes us to a new place; a new state of mind and after being in the swimwear business for all these years, I can really appreciate that.  Layla draws from her imagination, he love for vintage and artful objects and her passion for design.  She doesn't just follow the blueprint drawn up by the latest trends and fashion gurus.  She follows her own windsong, a very brave and difficult thing to do in this economy.  Layla keeps a blog.  Her entry, "5 Reasons to Say Yes-- Even When No Seems Easier " she lays it on the line.  She tells you all of the reasons that she designs the way she does.  It's certainly a positive approach, with a strong emphasis on "positive."  I like that.

For that reason, I want more people to know about her incredibly beautiful and amazing swimsuits.  Her designs are all fresh, they emit a passion, a sensuality, that I just haven't seen for a long time in the swim biz.  If you are brave like Layla, you'll say, "yes," one of her styles.  Will you look like every other girl on the beach?  No.  Will you get asked where you found that amazing swimsuit?  Yes!  Salt Swimwear 2013 has just arrived...take a chance.

It always amazes me what talented swimwear designers can do with a couple of scraps of fabric.  Salt Swimwear makes the most of very little, in order to deliver some awesome swimsuits and bikinis.
